Audi Press Fleet Technician
***This is a long-term contract role***
Technicians MUST hold AT LEAST TWO ASE CERTIFICATIONS to be considered.
$34/hr
Role Summary
• Ensure perfect Press fleet vehicle condition with latest technical improvements applied
• Support Press events and auto shows as needed, working with Audi AG Press technical team
• Perform the full range of automotive maintenance and repair on Press fleet vehicles
Role Responsibilities
• Ensure perfect technical condition of Press fleet vehicles for loan to automotive press (e.g. car magazines)
• Perform PDI (Perfect Delivery Inspection) on vehicles when they are received into the Press fleet
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before “buff books” and lifestyle publication loans
• Document all modifications, repairs and complaints against each Press fleet vehicle
• Perform vehicle road test drives to identify and repair vehicles deficiencies
• Order replacement parts when needed
• Ensure all relevant TSB and Campaigns are performed to Press fleet vehicles
• Coordinate spare parts and organize the return of defective parts to Audi AG for analysis
• Support Audi PR vehicle launch technical activities including press event and auto shows with press demonstration vehicles
• Work closely with Audi Product Support team on vehicle technical issues identified
• Maintain technical proficiency by attending relevant Audi training
Required Education
High school diploma supplemented by on-site training, trade school apprenticeship or similar automotive training
Required Experience
• 5-7 of experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive industry
